Mohamed joined Abu Dhabi Finance (ADF) in April 2013. As Chief Operating Officer, he is responsible for the overall efficiency of the business through implementing transformational frameworks and running different projects via the Centre of Excellence function.
Mohamed oversees the organisation’s ongoing operations and procedures at the loan origination and servicing level through the Central Processing Unit, and also manages the Banking System and implements changes as per business requirements.
With diversified experience in both the Banking and Oil Field sectors, Mohamed started his career as a Field Engineer in Schlumberger before joining TOTAL as an Offshore Field Specialist. Subsequently, he moved to the Banking sector where he worked in different departments including: Service Quality and Business Process Re-engineering at Sharjah Islamic Bank; Products and Propositions Management for HSBC Amanah; and Sales, Business Development and Branch Management at Barwa Bank.
Mohamed has significant regional and international experience, having worked in Kuwait and Qatar as a full-time employee, in addition to secondment roles in Brunei, the UK and France. He also holds a Masters of International Business from the University of Wollongong and a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from UAE University.
Aside from his professional commitment, Mohamed is an active social media vlogger with a passion for financial literacy, and has contributed to several publications including Alroeya, Alalam and Ahwal Magazine. He is also a founder member of the UAE Human Rights Association and has volunteered for a number of school financial education programmes.
